St Marys Church, Hound is the original parish church, dating back to the 13th century. The church was built by the benedictine community at St Andrews Priory in Hamble, and is also home to the Hound Parish burial site.The church is still used for services, including a fortnightly service of holy communion, a series of reflective evening services in the summer months, and a hugely successful annual Christmas Carol concert. The church also hosts occasional concerts.A group called the Friends of St Marys exist to raise funds and awareness for the conservation of this historic church building.
